Freyja Soul Art

My name is Freyja and my pronouns are she/they. I was born and raised in Seattle and moved to New York for college. I graduated from The School of Visual Arts with a BA in Cartooning/Comics.

 

Growing up I only experienced queer stories that were slice of life or sad so I have set out to make my own queer action/fantasy comics where the character's sexuality isn't the story itself. I also love to make illustrations or short comics that capture a relatable moment in time but also have a mystical or fantastical element to them. Some artists that have had the most influence on me are Brandon Sanderson, Hayao Miyazaki, Moebius, and Wonderstruck by Brian Selznick.
